Terms of service
These terms are the rules for using TestPlatform. Please read them with your parent or guardian if you are under 18.
1About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and [legal entity name: to be added], which runs TestPlatform. Our registered address is [registered address: to be added]. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean [legal entity name: to be added].
By creating an account or using TestPlatform, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy policy. If you do not agree, do not use TestPlatform.
2Who can use TestPlatform
TestPlatform is for:
- students of Class 5 to 12
- their teachers, and the administrators of their organisations (schools, coaching institutes, tuition centres and others)
- students who register on their own ("individual students")
When you register, you must confirm one of these two things:
- you are 18 or older, or
- you are under 18, and your parent or guardian has agreed to you using TestPlatform and to our Privacy policy.
We record this declaration, with the date and the version of these terms and the privacy policy.
3Your account
- One account is for one person. Do not share your account. Do not use anyone else's account.
- You sign in with one-time codes sent by email, or by WhatsApp if you added a mobile number. There are no passwords. Do not share your codes with anyone.
4Organisations
- An organisation's administrator approves who joins their organisation. The administrator also manages the organisation's students and teachers.
- An organisation's administrator can correct a student's class or roll number, remove a student from the organisation or turn off an account's sign-in.
- A student can leave an organisation, or ask to move to another, at any time from the Account page.
- When you are a member of an organisation, its administrators and teachers can see your profile and your exam work. Our Privacy policy explains what each of them can see.
- Organisations are responsible for how their staff use TestPlatform, and for having the right to add their students' work.
- We can remove an organisation's access to TestPlatform if it is misused.
5Rules for using TestPlatform
When you use TestPlatform, you must not:
- cheat
- share or copy question papers
- pretend to be someone else
- try to break TestPlatform or overload it
- upload anything unlawful, or material whose copyright belongs to someone else
If you break these rules, we may suspend or close your account. See Suspending or closing accounts.
6Exam monitoring
Only while an exam is running, TestPlatform records these events:
- switching away from the exam tab
- opening developer tools
- right-clicking
- pressing keyboard shortcuts that are blocked during the exam
- the same account being signed in on two devices
- losing the internet connection
Your teachers see these events to judge whether the exam was fair. The teacher makes the final decision on any attempt that is flagged.
We do not use your camera or microphone.
7Who owns what
- Question papers belong to the person who wrote them, or to their organisation.
- Your answers belong to you. You give us and your teachers permission to store, display and mark them.
8Passes and payments
- Prices are in Indian rupees and are shown before you pay.
- The amount shown is the amount charged. There are no extra fees at checkout.
- A pass is a one-time purchase. It does not renew automatically.
- A pass unlocks the papers on the timetable it was bought for: an organisation's timetable, or the individual timetable.
- A pass cannot be transferred.
- Payments are handled by Razorpay. You enter your card, UPI or bank details in Razorpay's own window.
Invite credit
Invite credit has no cash value. It cannot be withdrawn. It can only be used on TestPlatform.
9Refunds
Refunds follow our Refund policy.
10If TestPlatform is not available
We try to keep TestPlatform running, but we cannot promise that it will never be interrupted.
If a technical fault on our side stops a scheduled paper, we will work with your teacher on a fair outcome, such as a re-sit or extra time.
11Suspending or closing accounts
If you break these terms, we may suspend your account or close it.
Students can close their account at any time with "Delete my account" on the Privacy and data tab of the Account page; teachers and administrators can write to us. Our Privacy policy explains what we keep after an account is deleted.
12Limits on our liability
To the extent the law allows, the most we will have to pay you for any claim is the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.
13Changes to these terms
We may change these terms. We will give you notice before a change applies. The date and version at the top of this page show which version is in force.
14Law and courts
These terms are governed by the laws of India. The courts at [city for court jurisdiction: to be added] have jurisdiction over any dispute about them.
