What is covered
- Covers
- Every test scheduled for your class or for all classes while the pass runs.
- Starts
- The day you buy it or the day your organisation issues it (IST).
- Buy while a pass is running and the new one starts the day after the current one ends, so no day is lost.
- Ends
- On the last day of its term, inclusive.
- Single tests
- Some tests can also be bought one at a time (“This paper only”); the price is on the test's card, with “or a pass” beside it.
- Free tests
- The practice test and tests your teacher marks free never need a pass.
- Receipts
- Every purchase has a PDF receipt under Passes and receipts on your account, with the pass dates on it.
Passes issued by your organisation
- For a fee paid to your organisation, a scholarship or a make-good, its administrators can issue a Monthly or Annual pass to a student's account.
- Nothing is charged online. The pass appears on the dashboard at once with its dates. The student is told.
- A pass can also be withdrawn. The student is told the date and tests show their price again.
- If this is unexpected, ask your organisation.
Questions
Does a pass renew?
- No. Pay once; it ends on its last day.
- Your dashboard shows the days left and offers the next pass when it is close.
Can I hold two passes?
- Yes. They chain: the second starts the day after the first ends.
- Checkout refuses a purchase that would put your cover more than 400 days ahead.
I bought a pass but a test still shows a price.
The pass starts on the IST day you bought it; check the dates on Passes and receipts, then ask your organisation.
What if my pass ends in the middle of a test?
A test already in progress is not interrupted.
Refunds?
Ask your organisation; a withdrawn paid pass can be marked refunded and the money returned through the gateway (see the refund policy).
Is the practice test free?
Always, with or without a pass, as many times as you like and without an account: take the practice test.
